  • 4 sprays Calorie controlled cooking spray
  • 2 pouch(es) White rice, Microwaveable
  • 1 large Onion(s), finely diced
  • 2 clove(s) Garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium Yellow Pepper, deseeded and diced
  • 1 medium Red pepper(s), deseeded and diced
  • 1 level tablespoons Chilli Powder, mild
  • 1 level tablespoons Paprika, smoked
  • 2 level teaspoons Cumin seeds
  • 2 level teaspoons Oregano, Dried
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 level tablespoons Tomato Purèe
  • 400 g Passata
  • 1 large can(s) Tinned Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Groovy Food Co. Agave Nectar Light & Mild
  • 1 large can(s) Green or Brown Lentils, cooked, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large can(s) Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 75 g 0% fat natural Greek yogurt
  • 60 gHalf Fat Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 individual Chilli, Green or Red, jalepeno, finely sliced


  1. Mist a large, deep pan with cooking spray and put over a medium heat. Fry the onion, garlic and peppers for 5 minutes, until softened. Add the spices, oregano and tomato purée and cook for a further minute.
  2. Add the passata, tomatoes, agave, lentils and beans to the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook, covered, for 15 minutes, until thickened. Cook the rice to pack instructions.
  3. Serve the chilli with the rice and topped with the yogurt, cheese and sliced jalapeños.
