Meet Triona and Pat
A power couple who between them have lost 6 stone, 4 of that stone during lockdown! Triona says “I returned to WW in January 2020. This time though I brought along the husband who also wanted to lose a few Ibs. Five weeks in and the dreaded lockdown hit and classes were closed. Disaster! However, it actually wasn’t the end of our weight loss journey. We had our books, we could log in and get recipes on Digital & we set ourselves a plan. Our Coach Fiona O’Sullivan was there to support us and we started Virtual Workshops. We made sure to try a few new recipes every week and we got ourselves a folder and split it into breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course dessert. We sat down every week, made our shopping list based on our new recipes and hit the shops. Getting out for some exercise made a huge difference to us not just weight loss but mentally as well. We got into the “habit” of walking and from there it became second nature. Weight loss aside we feel better in ourselves too.”
Meet member Lynn
Following the birth of her daughter Lynn was fed up of feeling out of breath & uncomfortable in her own skin. With a motto of “be real, not perfect” Lynn aimed for a 1% improvement each month. She found that honest tracking, sharing food ideas with fellow members in Coach Catherine Flanagans’s groups and setting herself 7lb goals helped her stay focused. Over the last number of months she has attended Virtual Workshops and found them great as she can attend from home or staycation! Lynn is now 2lbs under her goal weight following a weight loss of 2st 11.5lbs. Let’s hear it for Lynn!
